Hello Spring๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ

Salty has had an incredibly productive start to 2017. We want to keep you all in the know of what is going on. Whether we have added to the bright look of our salon or added a new member to our team we want to keep you updated.

In January we officially changed our name over from Hot Heads Hair Design Studio to what is now Salty Hair Salon. We kept the same location and phone number etc. but completely rebranded and changed the face of it all. That was a major step in achieving the vision we wanted to cultivate. We also hit the road in March for Cosmo Prof's Fashion Focus show. This event was held at the Gaylord in the National Harbor in D.C. It was refreshing to go out of town and take a hold of what the industry offers. From color to marketing and business classes we soaked it all in. Everyone from Larisa Love to Geno Stampora was there pouring into the current and future generation of hair stylists and salon owners. They are some of the biggest names in the industry and we got to experience what they do first hand. These kind of opportunities are so important to us because it means we are investing in our craft which in turn helps us make you all feel and look your best!

As of March our team consisted of Esther Faith our girl boss, Sierra Jones, and Shea Presgraves. These girls add so much flavor to our Salty team. In addition we brought on another amazing stylist by the name of Kendall Hamm. Kendall, along with Sierra and Shea were all trained at the Rudy and Kelly Academy (A Paul Mitchell Partner School) in Virginia Beach. It only seemed fitting to add her to our amazing Salty team. Follow her personal account @kendallschmendall and her professional @alldalledup.

Lastly, we are always trying to curate and add beautiful accents the inside of our salon. It isn't necessarily all about the aesthetics, but there is also a psychological aspect that we want to create when people come and experience Salty Hair. Along with our new waiting area, new chairs, new ship lap wall, and refreshments being accessible, we added in a new set of bright white bead board cabinets for our color bar, washing and waxing station. OBX Top Shop made these quality custom cabinets and we are so pleased with their work! We also love flowers, so expect to see flowers/succelents and greenery all around the salon.
